Trivial Pursuit Classic Edition Board Game for Adults and Teens Ages 16 and Up

My family played this at Thanksgiving. We had so much fun! I would highly recommend this for a family fun night.

Updated from the original 1980's game, even though it is labeled "classic.". The questions are far harder than those in the original... at least they are for someone who was 30-something back then and is 70-something now!!! I should have looked for a senior citizen's version! Oh, well, we will have fun laughing at each other... no one will ever get a pie piece!

This game is a great update to the other classic versions. We play with our college age sons and the competition is right there. The only negative is that they no longer include the boxes for the question cards which means that the card pile sits with the questions face up during play. So, because of the competitive nature of the game (and players), we have to cover the card pile with something during play. The boxes were a great solution for this issue and they should put them back in the box!

We bought this to augment our already owned 1981 Classic Version (to have more current references - i.e. the version we have still refers to East and West Germany, and Pluto as a planet., lol). So, we use both games questions (we intersperse them based on the roll of the die - i.e. an odd number roll, gets the "old" questions, and an even number roll gets the "new"). It's great fun!

This game is still as much fun in 2018 as it was in 1984! Loved introducing the game to my daughter, and then proceeding to get soundly beaten by her.

I love a good Trivia night - my dad and I battle it out for the Quiz Champ title in our household (I currently hold the title after our last battle :). I bought the latest TP Classic Edition in August 2017 and have played it a couple of times with my parents - having played my parents old "Classic Edition" from the 80/90s many, many, many times throughout the years. The questions from this latest version range from Easy to Very Hard then on to "you can only possibly know this answer if you live in America". Unfortunately this latest "Classic" edition is very, and I mean VERY, USA-centric in its questions to the point of being frustratingly ridiculous. For example: American college sports (and I don't mean the Professional level leagues); and questions about American government departments and laws that only a local could possibly know (not even an avid American TV show viewer would know these completely random and obscure questions) In comparison, some "international" questions were clearly written by someone who a) had no idea about the sport they composing the question about and b) was intending for the question to be asked to their fellow Americans. A question about the game of cricket brings to mind an obvious example. It was so badly worded, it even included a mistake, no one in the cricket-playing world would every actually make. In order to play this game without it going on endlessly into the night, my family had to implement a "'Too-American Rule" - if no one outside of the borders of the USA could possibly know the answer (ie Too American-centric), the card is skipped until we find a question that anyone in the rest of the known world could know (FYI, too many cards were skipped to meet this House-rule) Please make an International Classic Edition and I will gladly buy it! I love beating my dad at Trivial Pursuit!

Material is thiner than back in the day. No boxes to hold the card. the holders are in the plastic part of the box bottom. Rest is good.

Questions are relevant and fun! Good mix of easy to answer and tough. So far we are very happy with it!

This version has questions about more current topics and the pie wedges are MUCH easier to remove than the original game.

Really fun game. The questions are all very current. There are some ridiculously easy questions but that's ok.

Bought this as a gift for my brother and he loves it! I looked at several places online for this game, and Walmart had the best price by far!

Happy to have this in my home, but it is already dated - 2016 - for real. Good price, fast delivery, just kind of dated.

I loved Trivial Pursuit but I really disliked that a receipt was not emailed to me after my purchase. I was also not notified of shipment or delivery.

This is great for long Winter play. Keeps you occupied for quite a while.
