Pandemic Cooperative Board Game: Legacy Season 1 (Red Edition) for Ages 13+, from Asmodee

Amazing game

This is a challenging but entertaining cooperative board game that gets played over a series of "seasons," each with a different goal. It's a legacy game so it cannot be replayed once complete. What makes it fun is that each person builds their own character and the group works as a team to contain and eradicate the pandemic as the spread of the disease escalates over time. The group of people we play with enjoys coming back to this game every couple of weeks.

As of now, I have purchased and played through the campaign for this game with 3 separate gaming groups. This is not just the best board game I have played, but the best experience with any form of entertainment. "Season 2" and "Season 0" of this series are also fantastic! Some may be turned off that the campaign can only be played once or that this game is pricier than many others, but I have gotten around 18, 90 minute sessions with each copy I have purchased. At this price, getting nearly 30 hours out of a game that 4 people get to enjoy, is a steal.

This is a fun take on pandemic. You play the game like normal, but there are a lot of fun variations that come in that aren't in the base game. Great date night!

If you've ever played pandemic before and liked it, you should definitely get this game! It is awesome!

Best price for the item I was looking to purchase

For the most part, board games have always been single sessions with no sense of continuing where you left off like video games. This is where Pandemic did something unique. They took their original game and added the concept of campaigns. You'll still need a minimum of two people to play it, but instead of playing the same game over and over, you can slowly progress the storyline adding a different dimension as you play more. You won't find much in reviews as it would spoil the adventure, but if you're a fan of RPGs, this is a great game to pick up. After you complete the first season, they created a follow up.

It is a truly fun cooperative game. Make sure you are on an actual team - this involves a lot of give and take. It takes some occasional forgiveness, too.

Adds advanced rules to the existing games and adds incentive to get a group to play the game on a weekly basis. Great fun.
