Azul Family Tile Strategy Game for Ages 8+, from Asmodee

Azul Family Tile Strategy Game for Ages 8+, from Asmodee

Azul is a tile-placement game that is fun for the whole family. Compete for the highest score by claiming tiles and arranging them on their board to score points. Extra points are on offer for collecting sets of the same color of tile, or for creating patterns. However, there are penalties for taking tiles that you can't use. Also, every tile that you claim affects what your rivals can take next. Azul is a great choice for game night with friends and family. Azul is for 2-4 children, teens, or adults, ages 8 and older. The average play time is 30-45 minutes.

Great game, great for all ages. We play it for hours. It gets very competitive absolutely love it. Once you figure it out it's easy to play and everybody loves it.

Game is unique, fun and challenging wo being frustrating difficult. Definitely needs at least 1 practice round. We used written directions plus video. Not sure for under 10. Highly recommend.

Fun game to play with my teenagers! They have figured out the strategy for winning on the easier side, now we need to figure out the other side to play!

Love this game! Simple, beautiful, competitive, and fun. Doesn't take hours to play but you might end up playing it over and over so you could spend hours if you wanted 😊

AZUL is a great social game for all skill levels

by John

After playing this at a friend's house, I believed this would be a good new game for my elderly mother. This works because everyone's board is visible to everyone and beginners can be easily assisted. The tiles are very distinct for failing eyesight and the tiles are large enough to be easily handled. Yahtzee and dominoes work well too. I wish the game was made to allow up to 6 players instead of just 4.

This game is really fun for 4 people. There is a small learning curve, but then it becomes addictive.

This is a great game that includes strategy but not intense focus. You can laugh and enjoy your friends while playing.

Fun Thinking Game!

by Jill

My mom, son and I were introduced to Azul over Thanksgiving, and we loved it so much! It was one thing my son (age 9) could think of that he wanted for Christmas! The scoring can be tricky at first, but easy once you've done it a couple times. Would highly recommend!

You'll be glad you got it!

This is just a great game for the family. It's not cards or dice but played with beautiful tiles - so it's different. Not a long instruction sheet on how to play or a ton of rules either. Easy to play once you get the hang of it. Definitely recommend!

Love this game!

by MrsIncredible

The tiles are beautiful, the board is incredibly fun to fill, and the scoring rules offer good variety making the win unsure until the end. The only downside side for me is I like simple rules that can be understood in 15 minutes or less. After 30 minutes trying to figure out we found a great 4-5 minute video on YouTube that showed us how.

Great Game; Poor Quality

by K

I love this game and was very excited to find it for an affordable price. Well, you get what you pay for, I guess. The game pieces are all cheap materials and not as advertised, which is a shame because part of the game's appeal is its beauty. Also, the box was crushed when it arrived.
