Fun game for the whole family

We had a blast playing this version. We opt to take out the two cards that allow for a charge of rent for all your color cards. The are game killers really. We also add free parking back into the game. Otherwise there's not enough money in play towards the end of the game. We played it their way the first go and it's just better our way 🤣

I have been waiting for a Harry Potter Monopoly forever. This was worth the wait! This is a must for any HP fan- but be advised it is a bit of a different game (house coins instead of money for one thing). Requires reading instructions and some prep before playing for the first few times. Love it

Waiting for this item to be made for a long time. Everything perfect exept the board. Would have love for the design to be more… with more details of the story and movies. The pieces absolutly gorgeous.

Our family consists of a bunch of Harry Potter fans and we love this! The way they adapted this to match Harry Potter was pretty cool. The quality of the materials is pretty good. Typical Monopoly quality. Overall, we love it and would recommend it to others.
Amazing Game for Harry Potter Fans like me!

If you're a fan of both Monopoly and Harry Potter, this game is a perfect blend of the two! The attention to detail is amazing – from custom properties like Hogwarts houses to themed player tokens that really bring the magical world to life. It's not just a re-skin of the classic Monopoly, but a thoughtful take that immerses you in the Harry Potter universe while keeping the traditional Monopoly gameplay intact. One thing I love is that it's great for all ages. Whether you're playing with family or friends, both Potterheads and board game enthusiasts can enjoy it. The rules are easy to follow, and the game pieces are of high quality, making it a fun collectible too. However, the game does take a while to play, as with most Monopoly games, so make sure you set aside enough time to fully enjoy it. Overall, a must-have for any Harry Potter fan!

I was happy that I could get an item quickly, thought it was a little overpriced and didn't do any looking around ahead of time for the Monopoly game. But still extremely happy with everything I received.
Great for Potter Heads
by Katharyn
Not a huge fan of Monopoly, but I love this edition. It goes fast if you play it correctly (read your rules people, you're probably playing Monopoly wrong) and is fun for a Potter Head in a way classic isn't for anyone who doesn't live in New York.
Great Version

My daughter's who normally hate playing games together, have probably played this 10 times in the last week. It was gotten for my Harry Potter loving daughter, but they both enjoy it and it's different challenges.

It was fun and its different enough to not make it the same ol same ol. I like that you use house coins rather than the boring paper money. Glad I bought it.

I have been waiting for a Harry Potter version of Monopoly for years! It definitely lives up to my expectations and more. I'm really glad I purchased it before the Christmas rush. Thank you Monopoly!

The more the merrier

Play is very similar to the original Monopoly. So far, have only tried playing with two people and games don't last overly long as it is very easy with just a couple people for one to bankrupt the other fairly easily. Looking forward to trying it with more people to see how play goes.
Good but different than expected

Different rules and money. Would have been better with plastic coins knuts, sickles, and galleons. Theme could have been more thought out. I still like it for what it is though.

It was cute but there is one owl letter that made the game end very quickly...
Somewhat fun, but flawed

Harry Potter monopoly is a cool piece of fan merchandise to own and even to play a few times. However, like most pop culture versions of classic games, the game play is not very well thought out. In this version, rent is equal to the purchase price in all properties except the spaces that are typically railroads and utilities (those operate similar to the rules of those spaces in regular monopoly). The amount you get for passing Go is only 20 house points. Two full rows of properties have purchase prices/base rents between 30-40 house points. You can see how players can go broke very quickly with that math. Also, in regular monopoly, there are 6 Chance/Community Chest spaces; HPM has Owl Mail spaces instead- some cards allow you to steal or switch properties from other players, at least two allow a player to go any unclaimed space on the board and purchase it- ANY space. If you are not in a position to use the cards when you draw them, you can hold on to them until you are able to. These cards give the recipients severe advantages and being able to 'bank' them and use them to steal valuable properties from other players as soon as they were able to, was not a popular feature. All in all, my family played twice and twice it ended with a couple players going broke within a handful of rounds and some generally negative feelings overall. If you're looking for something cool to add to your HP collection or maybe aren't as serious (or competitive) about your family night games, this game may be fine for you. But if you're expecting a well-thought out game, designed for longer, more fair game play (like the original), you'll likely be disappointed. I will say it is simple to learn and younger players could definitely participate.
Disappointing.

This game is well designed and the kids like it. It is NOT much faster than regular Monopoly. It recieves only four stars for the cheap quality of the board and pieces. They won't even make decent board games anymore, it's all cheap junk.
Damaged product
by Samantha
I had ordered this for pick up as a Christmas present. Only to receive an email asking if it could be shipped. Once I opened the product to wrap this as a Christmas present the box was damaged. There was no damage to the packaging so this leads to me to believe the product was damaged before it was shipped to me. I understand this is minor damage but to pay full cost for a damaged product? Especially something that was purchased as new, that will be used as a gift?
